Update on Ricks parents. It’s been a difficult couple of weeks. They resisted the Assisted Living plan but finally they sadly agreed to go. They have been in a few days and they seem to be adjusting well. Thank you for your prayers- Praise God that he inter-ceded. I give Him the glory!
Now our prayer is not to forget about them and to ensure that Rick and I, our kids, and other family members call and visit them periodically. Aging is lonely.
I highly recommend the Sheridan Lakewood Ranch for Assisted Living. It’s a wonderful environment and the staff are excellent caregivers.
Please pray for Ricks mom and dad. They have lived in the same home for over 45 years and are now being placed into Assisted Living. They are so not happy about going, but they are both very ill, and the family can not give them the care they need.
Mom has Advanced Parkinson’s and Dad has dementia and heart conditions. They are 93 and 82.
Thank you in advance for you prayers.
Continue to pray for those in the path of hurricane Ida. It will land in southern Louisiana on the anniversary of hurricane Katrina.
Please pray for my son working in the pulmonary unit at SMH. Their unit has just been changed to a covid ER wing so all patients under their care are at risk. Pray for the Holy Spirit to flow through him and his colleagues to bring healing to all who enter their care.
Update:
My mom has been sent home from the hospital. Her lungs are clear. She will meet with her GP tomorrow and will hopefully have an appointment with a pulmonologist sometime this week to discuss the COPD diagnosis. Continued prayer for healing are appreciated.
Please pray for my mom, Jan Hunter. She has been fighting the symptoms of covid but continues to test negative. She has gone to urgent care multiple times and has had a z-pack and was also diagnosed with COPD. Her symptoms have continued to worsen so she has gone to the hospital for more answers. Please pray for the medical staff as they try to treat her. Also, pray for my mom to have a peace and calm.
Thank you all so much for your earnest prayers regarding me finding employment. Today, I had my first day of training at my new job. Your prayers did not go unnoticed. I am so grateful for this community!
Thank you all for your prayers for my granddaughter. Everything went well. Praise be to Jesus!!
Please continue to be in prayer for the Crawfords. Chuck has been in the ICU for three weeks with COVID. He and the hospital staff have fought well, but his condition has simply not improved. After much prayer and consultation, his wife Melisa and his family have decided to move him to hospice. Please pray for Melisa, their daughters Addison & Katherine, and their extended families. Also pray for Chuck and for comfort and peace for all involved and for the love of Jesus to be revealed even in the shadow of death.
Please pray for my 4 year old granddaughter as she is getting several teeth filled tomorrow but has to go under sedation. Pray fir her mom as well, she is very stressed about it. Thanks!
Please pray for Rich and Barb Owens, leaders of the local 40 Days for Life Campaigns, as Barb battles through another round of chemo treatments for cancer that has resurfaced after a period of remission.
Please pray for me as I am currently looking for a new job that is comparable/balanced well with my fall semester at USF and most importantly where God wants me to be. I would greatly appreciate your prayers!
Please pray for the Crawford family. Chuck was recently diagnosed with cancer, and a week into treatments, he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Please pray Chuck's complete healing and for peace and strength for his wife, Melisa, and their two daughters.

**update on Michael Rupp**I wish to thank everyone who has kept Michael in their prayers for the past 6 months. He finally got into the rheumatologist this past Friday and it’s all good news. Actually, great news! God is so good! Even though he tested positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis, they believe it to be a one time occurrence due to his age and no other symptoms since January. He’s very healthy now and I know without a doubt that your prayers delivered results. Thank you so very much!
Mindy Update:
She did not have surgery yesterday. When the doctor did the pre-surgery laparoscopy, he discovered that the cancer-causing “blobs” were too numerous, especially in the lining of the abdominal cavity which is too dangerous too remove. The blobs that were floating around in her abdomen have attached themselves to the lining making them now cancerous. So, They will go back to chemotherapy but with a different chemo cocktail until they find one that works. Please pray Mindy and her family as they process the information and for her doctors to find the correct combo of chemo.
The surgery for Micah’s boss, Ray, has been cancelled.
The oncologist reviewed the CT scan from Friday and found that the colon has a severe infection called CDF. The great news is this produced a false cancer positive testing. Being treated for the CDF with IV antibiotics ASAP. Will have to go in for surgery in a few weeks to clean up the colon but there is NO CANCER.
Thank you all for the prayers.
Mindy Hoover, a second mom to us, was diagnosed with a rare disease pseudomyxoma back in January. They have been attempting to treat the disease with chemo but it has not been successful. Today, she will undergo a 12hr surgery which will include internal heat chemo. Please pray for Mindy, her family and all the medical staff as she undergoes this intense surgery.
Please pray for all those impacted by the apartment building collapse in Miami and for the local churches as they reach out and share the Good News in the shadow of loss.
Micah’s boss/friend, Ray, has been diagnosed with cancer. The full extent is not yet known but it is bad enough that he will be going into surgery Monday morning, 6/28. They will be removing part of his large intestine, gallbladder, and part of his lower intestine for sure. Ray is very nervous and his family (2 kids, 14 & 18, and wife) are not handling it well at all. Prayers for him and his family as well as the many medical professionals that will be walking with them through this process would be very much appreciated.
Please pray for our dear friend Carlos and his family. As they support their daughter during a very painful battle with depression.
