I have a friend that I met in an online writing class ,that later showed up playing Words with me.
She is alone and 81 yrs old and will be undergoing a mastectomy Feb 8th.
She is a very godly soul and I would appreciate prayers for her peace about this .

1. Ricks mom passed away in her sleep at 4:00a at Blake. Please pray for our family.
2. Rick tested positive for COVID so he is in quarantine. Please pray for quick healing so he can personally comfort his father. Dad is 93 and will be lost without the love of his life Marion. We don’t think he will be with us long.
Please pray daily that the Supreme Court will make a decision in the current Dobbs case that they are considering to strike down the Roe V Wade decision and move our nation closer to the day when choosing to end the life of an unborn child is unthinkable.
Hi all,
1. Please pray for a miracle for Ricks mom. She’s at Blake and is in very bad shape. They are talking Hospice. They are still not 100% sure that she has Parkinson’s. There are 2 other possibilities a. ALS. b. Another very rare neurological disease that they have medicine for.
2. Rick can’t go see his mom because he and I are both sick. Possible Omicron. Ricks a day ahead of me but we are both symptomatic. If he’s not better tomorrow he’s getting tested.

Please pray for my sister in Illinois. She has been dealing with appendicitis for several weeks. She was admitted to the hospital where they tested her for Covid and she tested positive (probably Omnicrom variant ). They put her in the Covid ward for several hours and then sent her home. Now they can’t do surgery until she’s over Covid and she of course is in danger of her appendix bursting.

Some updates: I passed one of my two kidney stones this week. Thank you Jesus I was trying to avoid a hospital visit for a year. God I’d soooo good.
Ricks parents are slowly adjusting to their assisted living home. They are both in pretty rough shape. Mom has Parkinson’s and can’t swallow without choking. She has lost so much weight it is heartbreaking. Dad has dementia and probably into the beginnings of Alzheimer’s .

Rick is working hard on his health issues although under a major amount of stress. Please pray he will lean in to the word and develop Godly male friendships. He is retiring May 31st,
Our adult kids, all 8 of them, seem to be in a place Rick and I never imagined along with the rest of the troubled world. God has a plan though, and we are holding tight to that.

Please pray for one of our church families who needs to find a new place to live because their landlord is selling the home they are currently renting. Pray for peace and for the Lord to guide them to the right home and provision of the necessary funds to sign a new lease.
First Praises: Thank you Lord for Griffin’s speedy recovery to the initial complications from anesthesia.
Second Praise: for a successful surgery on his hip, thank you Lord and thanks for the continued prayers.
Please also continue praying for Griffin’s recovery that he will be walking on his own soon and back to full strength on both sides.
Continue praying for Griffin’s recovery. Surgery went well, but he had a bad reaction coming off the anesthesia. He’s still in recovery for now and is on oxygen. There was an issue with his vocal chords sort of collapsing and fluid building in his lungs. So they are watching him overnight to be sure the recovery continues and his O2 levels stay up without assistance.
My neighborhood friend Denise and her mother Angelina.
Denise has stage 4 SC Lung cancer and now is having to be in Kentucky to care for her aging mother who had a stroke.
Denise is asking for prayers for more strength and added
patience as her Mom now has no short term memory and therefore cannot even remember to take her medicine.
She is quite frustrated and feels so much guilt over being impatient with her Mom who has always been there for her.
Denise is a very strong believer in Jesus and knows He will be with her but she is weary.
Pray for my son Griffin’s hip surgery December 14. Pray for a speedy recovery so we can come home with him for Christmas.
My brother Peter is in the cvicu at Blake Hospital. He is not doing well. He had a heart attack last night, and was unconscious for nearly 30 minutes. Please pray for a miracle, pray for his soul, and pray for his family.

Please keep my sister Margie in your prayers. She lives in Arizona. She slipped and fell about a week ago, had surgery, they put a metal plate in her leg for stability. She was moved to rehab and now has Covid. Thank you so very!
They’ve moved my brother to ICU. They can’t keep his blood pressure up.
Please pray for my brother Jon. His appendix burst. They said it didn’t just burst. They think it was weekend before last when he had a fever and stomach pain. The infection is too bad. They can’t do surgery. They’ve got him on IV antibiotics and they’ll put a drain in tomorrow.
Church family, I ask for your prayers that my daughter and I will be able to start repairing our broken relationship. And that God will heal the past hurts and restore a trust and out pouring of familial love that only He can bring forth. I pray that with this repaired relationship Rick and I are able to heal from past wounds and be able to be the loving Godly parents to Adam and Alexis and fun Godly Grandparents to Jax and Alana.

Please pray for me. I have 2 kidney stones (one on each side) and an abscess tooth I’m dealing with. Also I am dealing with multiple autoimmune diseases that create some ongoing challenges.
Thank you and an update on Rick. He’s feeling pretty well despite his tests results. God is so good and we both appreciate your prayers!
Update:
My mom met with her pulmonologist on Thursday. The doctor told her all the test looked good. Her lungs are clear and she does not have COPD. He told her that there was some inflammation still in her lungs from having covid but that should clear up. She is now realizing that many of the breathing issues she’s has been having are from her fear of not being able to breath. It is causing her anxiety and causing her to have shortness of breath. She is still struggling with sleeping because she will wake up and feel like she can’t breath so she can’t fall back to sleep. Please pray God would free her from her fear and anxiety of not being able to breath. Also, pray she can get some sleep to help with her mental health and continued healing.
Please pray for Rick. He has been a fabulous caretaker for me over the years, but apparently has ignored his own health. His PCP called this morning and told him to go to the office today. I went with him and his blood work showed many out of range problems. The Doc told me things were serious and to not take care of them could be problematic. Thanks in advance for you prayers️
