Scripture –
Revelation 12:10-11 – And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power of the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
Observation –
Satan has been thrown down out of heaven by Michael and the other angels because Jesus has victory in his death and resurrection. Salvation, authority and the kingdom of God is alive with Jesus and in us through the Spirit. Through the finished work of Jesus on the cross and our confession we have eternal life with God. To be with Christ is to have faith and stand for Christ and not be ashamed no matter the cost.
Application –
I must remember that the victory in Christ has already been won. Jesus died on the cross and rose on the 3rd day to defeat death and give me a bridge to be reconciled with our holy God. Jesus has all power and authority in heaven and on earth. Satan is on the prowl now on earth and he is deceiving and accusing many. I am covered by the blood of Jesus and must not only know Jesus but share my testimony to make him known
to people who are lost, confused and hurting. I need to preach the gospel to myself daily and be in the Word with other believers to equip and encourage. My life is not mine but His who paid for me. I need to live not for self but for Him even if it costs my life.
Prayer-
Father,
Thank you for sending Jesus to overcome death and make a way for salvation with you. Let me focus on your heavenly Kingdom and give me strength to love you and my neighbors. Use me to share my testimony to extend your glory!
