Scripture:
Revelation 16:7 “And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments.”
Observation:
In Revelation chapter 16 we see a scene of wrath and destruction. As wrath is being poured out we hear the proclamation “true and just are your (God) judgments.” God is in the position of being just and true. As he pours out His wrath the scripture shows that he does so in alignment with His nature, which is justice. The beauty of the gospel however, is that this wrath is not intended for His children because this wrath was fully satisfied in Jesus.
Application:
Jesus fully satisfied the payment of sin and the wrath of God. I should live a life of freedom and also announcing to the world that they do not have to live under the weight of their sin and pending punishment because Jesus has paid the price! Today, may I live a life of thankfulness and announcement to the 7/10 or even more in our area that need to know Jesus.
Prayer:
Thank you Jesus that you satisfy the wrath of God. Thank you for taking my place and for giving your righteousness to me. Help me today to live in a manner that gives thanks to you and tells others of your amazing good news!
