Scripture: “When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour…” Rev 8:1

Observation: Sometimes I have the impression that God throws a curveball just to chuckle at us…

Application: Imagine.

The Lamb opened the seventh seal. All of heaven is quiet for about 30 minutes.

Is it because of astonishment?

Is it because of anticipation?

Is it because of wonder and marvel?

Is it because of hope? Is it because of dread? Is it because of the fearsome presence of the Judge of all or because of the redeeming Lamb?

Why would I be struck speechless given the same situation?

This is what meditation on the Word is like…If I insert myself into the scripture narrative, what does it then look like to me, to the face in the mirror?

Prayer: Lord God, I can still read the Prophecy and be puzzled. All I have are the words of Revelation and the imagination of my mind to cope with.

Help me to understand what I need to, not pursue with vigor what I don’t, and rest in what you reveal for my good from the rest of your Testimony.

Go, Gospel!!

AMEN.
